Sheridan Interactive Multimedia is a one-year, graduate certificate program where students learn programming, interface and user-centred design and project management skills to build interactive digital environments in which people can communicate and create content. The program curriculum encompasses: Web and mobile games and puzzles; tools and applications; artistic and experimental work; and rich media and simulations for education and entertainment.
our programOur one year post grad college program has a mandate to train designers, programmers and managers in all three disciplines with an overall push towards creativity in the area of interactive content. Skills are learned to handle graphics, text, animation, audio and video using leading and current software such as Adobe CS5, HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, AJAX, PHP and MySQL. The program runs from September to April and is generally all weekdays with Mondays free. Class size is limited to 26 students and classes are held in a dedicated studio lab. Student experiences include individual and group projects, live client work and interaction with top industry professionals throughout the school year.

Graduates will find themselves comfortable as independent designers/producers or as members of creative, technical and marketing teams. Alumni of our program are producing interactive features and sites for Much Music, CBC Kids, Sympatico/MSN, Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), Halton Region, Canadian Football League (CFL), Labatt's Blue and Xenophile Media developing interactive television.
